About Us

We are concerned Whistler residents who believe the proposed development at 5298 Alta Lake Road on the west side of Nita Lake is NOT good for Whistler and is NOT appropriate in its current form for the shores of Nita Lake. 

Very few people are aware of this proposal and the imminent risk that the development will be approved in its current form.

We need more public awareness, concern, input, and debate and ultimately more pressure put on the Muni/Planners and Council to ensure positive action on many of the critical concerns. 

Purpose of this website: 

to give everyone in Whistler the opportunity to understand the proposed development and what is at stake for Nita Lake, the immediate surrounding neighbourhoods and the broader Whistler community. We are not against development and fully understand the need for more employee housing for Whistler, but it is abundantly clear that the current rezoning proposal is inconsistent in terms of the current OCP including density, and the environmental and traffic concerns, as well as the visual impact for the shores of Nita Lake. It is simply too big for this site.

This is a bad deal for Whistler!   We need your support.

The citizens of Whistler deserve to have our elected Council Members get the best deal for Whistler through the rezoning process, to protect our precious assets and in particular hold any lakeside developments to the highest standards.
